Last night at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, fans watched a close and exciting first game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Cardinals won 3–2 in a tight finish. Tyler Glasnow pitched well for the Dodgers. He gave up just one run in seven innings. But the Dodgers’ hitters couldn’t score enough runs.
In the last inning, Yohel Pozo came in as a pinch-hitter and hit the ball to bring in the winning run for the Cardinals. Just before that, Lars Nootbaar made a big sliding catch to stop the Dodgers from scoring.
In the second game, the Dodgers came back strong. Max Muncy and Teoscar Hernández both hit two home runs each. The Dodgers started scoring early and didn’t stop. They won the game 12–6.
Muncy had four hits and four RBIs in his first game back from injury. Mookie Betts, who had been struggling, got three hits. Shohei Ohtani also helped with a double and scored runs.
The first two games were very different. The first one was close, and the second was a big win for the Dodgers. The Cardinals showed fight in the first game. The Dodgers showed power in the second.
The third and last game of the series is today, 6th August 2025, at 4:10 p.m. ET. Miles Mikolas will pitch for the Cardinals, and Emmet Sheehan will start for the Dodgers. Fans are waiting to see who wins this final match.
Right now, “Cardinals vs Dodgers” is trending online. Baseball fans are talking about every play. Will the Dodgers win again, or will the Cardinals fight back? No one knows — and that’s what makes it fun.
