Tesla’s secret supercomputer project, Dojo, was meant to change the future of self-driving cars. But now, suddenly, there was a twist, which is gone behind the team, and a brand-new AI company is about to grow from its ashes.
Something big just happened at Tesla. For a long time, the company had a secret project which is called Dojo, which is a supercomputer made to help train its self-driving cars and robots. It is used for a huge amount of video from Tesla cars to teach the machines how to drive better and perform smart tasks.
But today, things take a turn. Elon Musk decided to close the Dojo team. Because the head of Dojo, Peter Bannon, is leaving Tesla. Around twenty engineers from the team are starting a new AI company called DensityAI. The other team member will work in other parts of Tesla.
Why is Tesla doing this?
And instead, it will use chips and computers from big companies like Navidya, AMD, and Samsung.
This news leaves many questions. Will Tesla’s plans for self-driving cars and robots slow down? Can DensityAI, the new company from former Tesla engineers, compete with others? Will working with outside companies make Tesla faster or slower?
The Dojo story is not over here. This is just a new chapter, and the next few weeks will show if Tesla’s move was the right one.
